The Legendary Restaurant of Thessaloniki Reopens After Three Decades

In 1961, a plaque of distinction from the international gastronomic society Dreicers De Luxe Dining League was proudly placed on its wall, while in 1968, The Daily Telegraph referred to it in an article titled “The Best Food in Greece.”

The revival of this legendary restaurant marks a milestone for Thessaloniki, Greece, and the European culinary scene. The social dining experience, where food blends with joy and togetherness around a Sunday table, returns, bringing renewed excitement for new ventures filled with passion, prestige, and endless possibilities.

Award-winning Executive Chef Dimitris Tassioulas, Chef Ambassador of Thessaloniki and head chef of Thria Restaurant, which the Sunday Times named as a “gourmet destination” in 2019, is renowned for his deep roots in the multicultural cuisine and gastronomic heritage of the city.

His previous culinary creations at Sebriko attracted the attention of The New York Times, who recommended his exceptional dishes and unique recipes to their international audience.

Now, as the captain of Olympos Naoussa, Chef Dimitris Tassioulas defines his exclusive Olympos and Naoussa concepts through a rich and natural gastronomic experience. He brings back the legacy and success of the mythical restaurant, continuing its heritage with new iconic flavors and contemporary culinary expressions.
